2009 Queensland Sports Awards
Rowing has been recognised by QSport (who runs the annual Queensland Sports Awards) with 5 nominations, selected as finalists in the various categories for the upcoming 2009 Queensland Sports Awards.
The finalists are:
QLD Sport Team of the year: Queensland Youth Cup Team
QLD Sport Coach of the year: Tim Conrad
QLD Junior Sport Team of the year: Maddie Edmunds & Jessica Hall
QLD Service to Junior Sport: Simon Newcomb
QLD Service to Sport: Robert Alexander
The Awards will be held on Friday 4 December 2009 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

November Time Trial
Entries for the November National Time Trial are now open on ROMS. The Time Trial will be held this month on the Sunday 15th November to allow for university exams. Gates will open at Lake Kurwongbah at 0545 and it is expected that the first race will start at 0730. Entries will close on Thurs 12th November.

Interstate Training Squads Announced
Training squads for the 2010 Interstate have been announced for the month of October. Please click here to see the squads.

Queensland win the Youth Cup
With two silver medal winning performances in the men’s and women’s eights on the final day of competition Queensland has made history, and taken out the Rusty Robertson Trophy for the first time, and breaking New Zealand’s four year dominance of the regatta.
Queensland finished on top with 97 points and was pushed all the way by Western Australia (2nd on 89 points) and Victoria (3rd on 84 points). More....
