Expression of Interest

Rowing Queensland is establishing Working Groups to provide advice and recommendations to the Board on opportunities to strengthen and grow our sport and community.

These Working Groups will focus on the following key areas:

• Partnerships and Revenue, to explore opportunities for sustainable funding, sponsorships, and broader partnerships to secure our future
• Pathways, to identify, develop, and implement sustainable pathway strategies and initiatives to support the retention of athletes from school leavers to elite rowing
• Calendar & Events, to provide recommendations regarding the planning, organisation and execution of events and regatta's within Queensland

The purpose of the Working Groups is to help identify priorities, actions, and opportunities that will benefit current and future members, while promoting inclusion, participation, and growth across our community.

It is anticipated that better collaboration between the Board, clubs, schools, and other stakeholders will strengthen our ability to deliver on our mission and build long-term resilience.

Membership of the Working Groups will be drawn from individuals with relevant experience, knowledge or interest in the respective areas. Meetings are expected to occur quarterly or as required, and options for virtual participation will be available.
