Tablelands Country Rowing Club

The TCRC is one of the newest rowing clubs in Queensland, formed in 2008. We are situated on picturesque Lake Tinaroo on the Atherton Tablelands in far northern Queensland. We are close to the towns of Atherton and Yungaburra and only 1 ½ hours drive from Cairns or Innisfail. Though we are a young organisation, we have an enthusiastic and experienced committee and a growing membership base. We have recently expanded our interests to include a 6 seater outrigger (OC6) to cater for those who would like to try outrigger paddling.

Our goal and plan is to foster both social and competitive rowing as a safe, enjoyable and accessible community activity with tremendous physical, mental and social benefits. We also support other “paddle sports” such as kayaking, canoeing and outrigging. We want people of all ages, shapes, and sizes to have the opportunity to become fitter while engaging in a rewarding and relaxing activity which utilises our beautiful natural environment in an ecologically sustainable manner.

We have general rowing mornings on Saturday at 7am. Everyone who turns up will get a row. We have 3 or 4 experienced rowers available to teach learners and beginners. Come along and give it a try!
