In 2026, the Championships will be held at:
- South Queensland Schools Championship Regatta – Wyaralong Dam – 18 July 2026
- Central Queensland Schools Championship Regatta – Bucca, Bundaberg – 27 June 2026
- North Queensland Schools Championship Regatta – Ross River, Townsville – 15 August 2026
These events are an important part of the Queensland rowing pathway and serve as the lead-up to the Queensland Schools Regatta in Rockhampton from 19–21 September 2026.
Each region operates its own calendar of regattas throughout the season, with events advertised on Rowing Manager. The Championship Regattas provide an opportunity for school-aged athletes to race against crews and schools they may not normally compete against during their local season.
Queensland currently has six different school rowing competitions operating across the state, with more than 30 schools represented through rowing programs.
These Championships celebrate the diversity and growth of rowing across Queensland and reinforce that school rowing is not just for large Tier 1 programs — it is for every school, whether they have one athlete or 250.
The regattas are open to school-aged rowers from Grades 8–12 and include all boat classes and racing categories. Events across the season range from sculling and sweep racing through to novice and championship racing, creating opportunities for participation, development and competition at all levels.
More information, including the full program of regional regattas and entries, can be found via the Rowing Queensland Rowing Manager website.
