Experience the Excitement of Beach Sprint Rowing – Now an Olympic Sport
With beach sprint rowing making its Olympic debut in 2028, now is the perfect time to get involved.
Starting 12 July, the Rowing Queensland Coastal Academy – Redlands runs every second Saturday at Raby Bay Boulevard Park. This program offers athletes the opportunity to train in both coastal rowing and beach sprints in a dynamic, performance-focused environment.
What to Expect:

Solo and double boat training
-
Beach sprint and coastal race simulations
-
High Performance Squad (7:30am) and Development Squad (9:00am) sessions

Opportunities for Development athletes to progress into HP training

Qualified coaching, structured programming, and full safety protocols
Who Can Join:

Open to junior, senior, and masters rowers (minimum age 15)

Participants must be registered members of a rowing club or school
