Position Available - Rowing Qld

Rowing Queensland is seeking a dedicated person for the new role of Club Coordinator.  This new position is funded by the Queensland Government through the Local Sport and Recreation Jobs Plan Program.

The role of the Club Coordinator will work closely with the 5 Cluster clubs located in Brisbane to facilitate an increase in their overall sustainability, participation levels and volunteering outcomes.

Sunshine Coast Rowing Club - Learn to Row Program

Position Available - Rowing Queensland

Rowing Queensland is seeking a dedicated person for the role of Events Coordinator reporting to the Operations Manager (OM). The RQI Events Coordinator will be a supporting role responsible for the administration and conduct of the organisations state wide regatta program and administration of Rowing Online Management System.

I first got involved with Rowing when my swimming coach suggested I start some extra training to keep fit over the Winter (1978) – and I never went back to swimming!!

Vale David Deeble

The Australian Rowing Community is saddened to learn of the passing of David Deeble, a great contributor to Australian and Victorian rowing over many years.

David passed away peacefully in the company of close family and friends on Thursday evening.

1. When did you first become involved with rowing?

While at school at Gregory Terrace I rowed for two years, mostly in fours. I wasn't quite good enough to make the eight - but I thoroughly enjoyed those two summers in the sport.
