Finalists announced in the 2010 Rower of the Year Awards

Queenslander's have been well represented in the nominations for the 2010 Rowing Australia Rower of the Year awards.  Tireless Regatta Secretary Bob Alexander has been nominated for the Volunteer of the Year, as well as former Rowing Queensland Chairman Chris Grummitt and ROMS creator James Worrell.  QAS Head Coach Tim Conrad has been nominated for Coach of the Year following his silver medal with the Australian men's coxless four at the World Championships, while former Rowing Queensland High Performance Manager Peter Shakespear has also been nominated.

In the athletes categories the Australian Junior women's coxless four including Queensland's Anna Kaszycki has been nominated for Female Rower or Crew of the Year.  Jared Bidwell as part of the Australian Men's Senior Quad was nominated for Male Rower or Crew of the Year.

Winners awarded at the 2010 Presidents’ Cocktail Function, 5 March, Chinaman’s Bridge Café, commencing at 6:30pm.  Rowing Australia Life Members will also be inducted on the night.  For a full list of nominees please see below.
