Lake Kurwongbah is one of the most peaceful and picturesque places to row in Queensland. The facilities at the Pine Rivers Rowing Club are excellent, the water is renowned for it's flatness and the single buoy line makes it a great training venue. Lake Kurwongbah was host to the 1975 King's Cup Regatta and is currently used by Rowing Queensland as a Time Trial, training and Selection regatta venue. The Pine Rivers Premiership Regatta is one of the most popular events on the South QLD circuit.
