Centenary Rowing Club
Our mission is to promote rowing and foster personal and community development for all.
Centenary Rowing Club was established in 2001 as part of Centenary Canoe and Rowing Club. In 2006 the Canoe and Rowing Club separated and both sports went their own ways but have kept a very close and working partnership.
We believe we are the only youth rowing program of its type in Australia.
Currently the Club is the third largest rowing club in Queensland with a projected membership growth rate that will make it the largest club in the State within five years.
The Club is a youth rowing club catering for students between the ages of twelve years old up to when they leave school at the age of seventeen.
Our vision of course is that students once they leave school will continue on with the Club as a senior competitive member.
Over the last four years the Centenary Rowing Club, with enormous help from the community, parents, volunteer coaches, some areas of government and commercial 'angels' has been able to grow to consist of approximately 200 active young rowers all under the Grade 12 school age.
